Have you ever seen a cute, chocolate lil' baby with that famous bald spot on the back of their head? Ever wonder why that happens? I'm glad you asked! When beautiful black mothers and fathers lie their babies down to sleep, it is most likely on their backs. Soon, the baby is tossing and turning, moving their head left and right, side to side, trying to get comfortable on that special blanket Granny bought. Unfortunately, the thick wooly tresses the Most High Blessed us with are not a fan of cotton. So while innocent Lil' Rae tosses and turns on Nana's blankie, she has managed to pull all of her hair out in the back over time because she didn't have on a headscarf. I know, I know...who puts a head scarf on a baby? I get it, but the example still applies, and cotton is still not our friend. Now, we know better; let's do better. Not only should we cover our beloved crown while sleeping, but we should also secure and elongate our locs to protect them, prevent knots and "pregnant locs," and maintain great hair health. 

"Cover Your Locs" was developed because although I captured the concept that I should cover my locs, I used three different contraptions to ensure I woke up with my locs still protected! After several prototypes,  we have a satin-lined cover to encourage moisture and reduce friction and frizz, combined with a stretchy "jersey" style shell that maintains your edges and elongates the locs, married to two wide, adjustable hair ribbons to secure the Cover around the head. This provides a non-slip solution that can be styled in many ways. "Cover Your Locs" can be used for braids as well.
